00:00Now with our play of the day, and Larry's here with one competitor who learned a lesson the hard way

00:03Yeah, that's..

00:03I mean, I don't know what else to say

00:06I mean, here he is, everybody

00:07The lesson is: don't celebrate too early

00:09Race walker Laura García Caro was representing Spain in the women's 20-kilometer final at the European Athletic Championships in Rome

00:18In the last five meters, she's convinced she's got the bronze medal locked up, but not so fast

00:24Two meters from the finish line—that's just over 6 feet, in case you were wondering—another racer, Ukraine's Lilia Oasa, comes from behind to beat her for that bronze medal

00:38Oh, the look on García Caro's face says it all

00:41After the race, she told the press that she will learn from this unfortunate turn of events and come back stronger as a result

00:49Don't celebrate too early; it ain't over till it's over

00:52Yeah, she thought she walked away with it

00:55I see what you did there

01:02I couldn't help myself

01:02I'm so sorry

01:02It happens

01:05I'm sorry, America

01:05I couldn't help myself.
