00:00Hello, everybody
00:00Welcome back to another AI video
00:01In this one, we're in Consensus
00:02And Consensus is an AI research engine that answers your questions with evidence from peer-reviewed studies
00:08These are not opinions; these are proper academic studies
00:13It searches millions of papers, ranks the most relevant ones, and then summarizes the findings with citations
00:19It uses really cool tools
00:22We're going to focus on all of them, especially Deep Search
00:23It's going to blow your mind
00:25So, lock in, take a look
00:26Let's go
00:27 All right
00:28So, the first step is an easy one
00:29Just head over to their website
00:31I've put a link in the description below
00:33Just click on it and off you go
00:35Now, when you log in, you will see a screen that It looks just like this, and it's very similar to a Google search except it doesn't have the nonsense
00:41You're not going to get search engine optimized articles and listicles trying to sell you a vacuum
00:47You're going to get proper academic research
00:48Let's take a look at some of the key features and functionalities and dig right in
00:52 All right, so the first feature I want to focus on is deep search
00:56Deep search really separates Consensus from all the other AI academic apps out there, in my opinion
01:00Essentially, it breaks down complex questions into smaller subtopics and then delivers structured, cited answers
01:07I focus on cited here
01:09The citations are critical; they make literature reviews faster and they make them a..
01:12Much more reliable as well
01:15So, let's take a look at how that works here
01:18So, here we are on the front page
01:19You'll even see here it says introducing Deep Search
01:21And you can just click on this "Try it" button right here, and it will give you some suggestions to get started
01:27Now, you can also access it here with this little downward chevron, and then, bam, we have three options
01:33We have the Quick option, which just provides a quick summary; it looks at 10 papers
01:36The Pro option, which I use a lot, goes through 20 papers
01:38And then, Deep Search, which I have 99 of them left for, looks at literature reviews of 50 papers
01:45So, this is the one we're going to select for this one here
01:48And then, hey, what are we going to ask? In this case, I'm..
01:50Going to say, hey, does creatine help muscles grow? This can be anything you want it to be
01:55I'm going to go ahead and do that
01:57Here, you'll see it gives me some suggestions
01:59Uh, I'm just going to go ahead and click on the go button, making sure that deep is selected, and then, boom
02:01Look at this
02:03Here we go
02:05And this is the best part
02:06Look at this go here
02:08You'll see on the right side that it is literally doing what I refer to as a chain of thought
02:11It is showing you exactly what it's thinking and what it's doing
02:16The first step here is conducting an initial survey of the research based on our query
02:21On the right side, you'll see the results, and on the left side, you'll see that it is providing us with the summarized findings, and while we do this, you can see I
02:28Hover over it, you can click on any one of these and dig into them
02:32You can download the PDF, click on the paper, cite it—you just click the button here, and it gives you the citation
02:38It does all of this while it's thinking, so it's pretty cool
02:40Here on the right side, again, while it works, you'll see that it's looking at foundation mechanisms, and here are some of the searches that it's going through
02:50So, literally, it does everything you can imagine
02:52It shows you the research and the results as you go
02:57Human clinical evidence — there's the next one here
03:00So, I'm just going to take a few seconds here
03:02Come back when it's done with this search, we'll discuss it, then we'll dig in and go a little deeper
03:03All
03:05Right
03:07So, we ran our deep search inside Consensus
03:09Let's see what we got here
03:11And I can already tell you, we got the goods
03:12So, the question, of course, was, does creatine help muscles grow? This, of course, can be about anything you want it to be
03:17And then, presto, look what we got here
03:18We have a nice little summary or recap, and then we get our introduction, all broken down step by step, which is really, really cool
03:25And then, look at this here
03:27If I hover over number one, for example, this is an inline citation
03:30You can see here you get some information just on the hover
03:33And if I want to go in deeper, I can click on "Details." Watch this
03:36I click on "Details." I have access to the whole thing, including a study
03:38Snapshot
03:40Kind of cool
03:42So, let's click the back button here and let's go ahead and start again
03:44So, there we go
03:46We've gone ahead, we looked at the details
03:48If I want to download a PDF version of it, watch—I just click it
03:51Bang! I've got the PDF
03:53If I click open, there it is, guys
03:55This is seriously impressive stuff
03:57Again, this is just number one
03:58We've got a whole page of things we're going to go through here, but just look how good this is
04:03Again, we want to save the paper for later, maybe we're considering it, citing it
04:07Click the button there
04:09Look at this
04:10We have APA, MLA—I mean, guys, it just goes on and on, and it's absolutely wild
04:12And every one of these things that we hover over, we have access to
04:14That said, let's go
04:17Down a little further here
04:19This is number one
04:20We're an introduction
04:20Here we go
04:21We get a consensus meter
04:22This is big time
04:23This basically says, hey, yes or no
04:26If you've got an idea in mind and you want to see if it's, you know, hey, does it help you grow muscles, for example? Well, 90% of the papers indicated yes
04:33So that's pretty cool
04:35And if we go over here, you'll see we did 48 different things
04:39It was supposed to be 50, but I guess two of them might have been excluded because they didn't have enough evidence
04:41Yeah
04:44So, there we go
04:46So, we got 48 out of the 50, which is bloody good
04:47That was about I never got that on the tests when I was back in college
04:49So, there we go
04:51And I mean, guys, we could just skip through this
04:52Here, you'll see again more things
04:54Recency—when was this published? When was the average published? So, it's 2015, or earlier, which is kind of cool
05:01We got 28 Tier One studies
05:03So, these are the big journals instead of the obscure journals
05:05You know, these are the pretty good ones
05:07And again, you could go through this step by step, line by line
05:10Let's just keep going through here
05:12The methods—you'll see here that they looked at 1,042 papers, and then they ended up including 50 of them
05:18So, yeah, they've gone ahead and made some, you know, they made some cuts, so to speak
05:21So, guys, it's all in here
05:25As I continue further through this results, if you want to look at the results, you..
05:28You can see they're broken down into different types of results: human clinical studies, mechanisms of action, animal and cellular studies
05:35And this would be, you know, a little different depending on what prompt you put in here, but again, it's all broken down very nicely
05:39Then, again, you have key papers as well, so if you want to look at the big ones, well, they're nicely identified for you
05:47You hover over them, click the button, and presto, it opens up the paper, including analysis and everything
05:51Guys, I mean, I'm just showing you stuff here as I go, but at the end of the day, Consensus gives you the information
05:56It has it all
05:59In my opinion, it is the best AI research functionality
06:01You want to call it an AI search engine, an academic search engine — it’s all of that
06:06Engine, academic AI search engine
06:07There's a couple of ways you can refer to it
06:09It's the best of the best in that group
06:11As I go down here, you'll see the claims, the evidence strength, the reasoning—you can see you can click in here and explore a little further
06:18So, if you're trying to, you know, prove your hypothesis or give a literature review and cover everything, it's all in there, guys
06:25And then, finally, this one's my favorite—research gaps matrix
06:26So, if you're looking for a gap in the market or maybe a gap in the research, where you're trying to come up with an idea for a test or an experiment or something like that, you'll see here that there are options and identified gaps
06:38Guys, that is a very quick look at Consensus
06:42It is the real deal
06:45You have access to pretty much everything you can imagine
06:47If you're looking for an academic AI, this is the one, guys
06:51I don't know what else to say
06:53It's all here
06:54So, there you go, guys
06:55There is a quick review of it
06:56Take a look
06:57I've put a link in the description below, guys
06:59It's really, really good
07:00It's worth a try
07:01Give it a click
07:02Leave a comment
07:03Let me know what you think.
